WHY NOW

Textile regulations are moving quickly.

The obligation lands inside your current sourcing horizon. Today you pay your EPR contribution and wait to see what follows. What follows is already dated.

  • 16 June 2027

    EU member states transpose the revised Waste Framework Directive.

  • 16 April 2028

    Textile EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) obligations apply.

  • 2030

    In the Netherlands, 75% of textiles placed on the market must be prepared for reuse or recycled*.

The Digital Product Passport will make reliable information about materials, composition, origin, recycled content and recyclability increasingly important.

Fibre-to-fibre is where European capacity is scarcest. That is where we operate.

*At least a third of that recycling must be fibre-to-fibre.
